Who are We?

SWING EASY TOURS is a Cape Town-based company with specialist knowledge of the Western Cape province of South Africa. Our sole aim is to introduce visitors from abroad to the many-faceted splendour of the Western Cape in a fun-filled and personalised, yet informative manner. We will at all times endeavour to ensure that our clients are treatedwith respect and complete consideration. We will never have to be asked to go the extra mile because it is already an integral part of our philosophy. Our hope is that when we finally say goodbye, it will not be as clients and service providers, but as friends.

While all of South Africa has much to offer the tourist in terms of scenic beauty, SWING EASY TOURS aims to promote the Western Cape not simply as that region of South Africa with the most breath-taking scenery, but as an area which boasts many diverse cultures and traditions. South Africa’s official marketing body, SATOUR, describes South Africa as The world in one Country. We like to believe the Western Cape is The world in one Province. And the way we intend achieving our goals is through that great game that Mark Twain, perhaps naively, referred to as “....a good walk spoiled”. GOLF!

YOUR HOST, KEN LOOTS The man behind SWING EASY TOURS is Ken Loots, a former electronic media journalist who,as tourism and environment reporter for the South African Broadcasting Corporation in Cape Town, played a personal role in promoting the development of the tourism industry in the Western Cape before deciding to concentrate on sport.

Ken is a keen golfer himself and in the past decade and a half he has covered many major sporting events both inside South Africa and abroad. They include the 1999 Rugby World Cup, the 1998 World Cup of golf at Erinvale and several Million Dollar Challenge tournaments at Sun City. Ken has an avid interest in both sport and the local environment and possesses a vast knowledge of both.
